(HBO, 2011-Present) Precise replica “Iron Throne” constructed of hand-finished fiberglass and fireproof resin components, embellished with swords, spikes and medieval projectiles fanning out in an impressive array to form the structure and shape of the iconic set piece. Officially commissioned by HBO as an exact replica of the majestic throne seen in the blockbuster series, the 7 ft. x 6 ft. x 5.5 ft. prop is expertly studio painted and finished in shades of rustic iron with gold and bronze detailing. Meticulously distressed to appear age old and weathered. As the mythology established in George R.R. Martin’s epic novels and the resulting cultural juggernaut of the episodic TV show goes, this “seat of kings” from the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros was forged from a thousand swords of fallen enemies, melded together by dragon fire, and forged to form the Iron Throne for Aegon I Targaryen, the first king of the Seven Kingdoms.
